You’ll work hands-on with guidance from experienced educators, covering everything from updated trends and tools to practical cutting, colouring, and finishing skills. We’ll help you regain your speed, precision, and confidence behind the chair, ensuring you’re fully prepared to re-enter the salon or take on new clients with a professional edge.
Since you already hold a Level 2 qualification, our Refresher Hairdressing Course is the perfect way to update your skills, boost your confidence, and learn the latest techniques.
Course Overview
- Prices available here. Deposit: £1000 (non-refundable, required to secure your booking); full payment due before the course begins, flexible payment plans may be available.
- Schedule: Every Monday, 2–4 hours depending on the topic.
- Experience: Practical, hands-on training tailored to your learning pace, building confidence as you go.
- Case Studies: After training, you’ll complete 4 case studies to demonstrate your knowledge. These can be done at home or in-salon and will be assessed before your certificate is awarded.
- Certificate: Allows you to work for yourself, gain hairdressing insurance, or seek employment.
- Accreditation: All of our courses are checked and fully accredited by ABT Insurance, ensuring your qualification is industry-recognised and meets professional standards.

What You'll Learn
This course will refresh your knowledge of the fundamentals while introducing you to modern, in-demand styles and colouring techniques, including:
- Cutting, styling, and colouring basics
- Balayage
- Face framing / Money pieces
- Root melt & root drag
- Client-building strategies – including how to grow your clientele and what to post on social media to attract new customers.
You’ll be working on real-life models throughout. You’re welcome to bring your own, or we’ll provide them.
By the end of this course, you’ll not only refresh your foundations but also master the newest hairdressing techniques, giving you the skills to earn extra income or even become fully self-employed.
